They were able to visit with Madeline at 8:30 and there hasn't been much change. Her temperature has gone down and she is still responding to visitors. Sometimes I feel like we are going three steps forward and then two steps back. The doctors have said that it may get worse before it gets better. I was trying to find a Bible verse for this and came across the following:
2 Corinthians 4:8-12 (New International Version)
8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
Exodus 15:2The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
I believe that even though these are tough times, God arms us with strength from above. I praise him tonight for watching over Madeline and Joe. I think it has made everyone reading this blog realize how precious life is and how easily it can be taken away. Thank you God for LIFE.

I have a favorite verse for times such as these. It is Rom. 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Madeline and Joe, Caleb, John and Suzanne, you are all in my prayers! May God's grace and mercy continue to pour out on you!
